The 'Ang Thong National Marine Park' is the optimal choice for divers in search of more shallow water without loosing uw diversity. The national park is part of the Samui archipelago and consists of 40+ islands generating a giant area of coral reefs. The establishment of the park and a constant presence of park rangers helped to reduce the occurance of dynamite fishing, a local custom in these waters. Since then, many independent actions of local dive schools, such as net cutting, beach clean ups, have helped as well to preserve this uw habitat.
Marine life in the national park includes all common south east asian fishes, crustaceans, rays and sharks.

Dive Sites

 Dive Site - Sail Rock Dive Site - Chumphon Pinnacle Dive Site - Ang Thong Marine National Park Dive Site - Koh Tao and Nang Yuang Dive Site - Koh Phangan and Koh Ma

The Gulf of Thailand is full of incredible dive sites. We have dived there for more than 10 years now and since 2004 we are teaching there with the Fun Factory. Exammples of these beautyful underwater places are: Sail Rock, South West Pinnacle, Chumphon Pinnacle, Koh Phangan, Koh Yippon, Koh Wao and Koh Tao.
The first three are offshore dive sites. Rocks and formations that developed into reefs and attract massive schools and swarms with their cleaning stations.
The rest are island reefs just off the shore and can be even more beautyfull during night dives when lots of fish and rays seek shelter. Cuttlefish can also be seen at night.
However, these reefs are sometimes situated up to 200 Meters offshore and to protect the reef we bring you only by boat to your dive site.

Fun Factory Fleet

Brandnew and purpose build, the "Sea Diamond" transports up to 20 divers with unmatched speed to their diving site. The "Sea Diamond" is equipped with the latest "fish finder" technology, and boasts a range of adjustable floodlights for night dives. With the introduction of this new diving vessel we are also able to reduce greenhouse gas emissions per dive trip over 60% while cutting the traveling time by nearly 80% (compared to the old boat).

Fun Factory Pricelist 2009/2010

All our dives are boat dives. You will be brought to the dive site and start your ascent there. A buoy line by the ship will provide a comfortable descent. Our most frequent visited dive site is Sail Rock, an offshore Dive Site. But iff waves in the Gulf get to high (3m - 4m), we will go diving at the more protected island reefs.
We are only performing boat dives. Beach dives do exhaust both the diver and gear above average, and simultaniously destroy the reef when divers enter the reef over the shallow beach side. Plus the fact that it is incredibly difficult to keep your dive gear free of sand. Thank you for your understanding.
